The Miami Heat are a NBA team in Miami, Florida, formed in 1988. From losing a then record 17 straight games to start their first season, by 2006 the Heat won their first NBA championship. In the mid-90s, the Heat came into their own led by legendary coach Pat Riley and 7-time NBA All-Star center Alonzo Mourning. In 2003, Pat Riley stepped down as coach to focus on his role as team president, replaced by Stan Van Gundy. That same year, the Heat drafted their marquee player, shooting guard Dwayne Wade. In 2004, the Heat were joined by future Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and resigned Alonzo Mourning. In 2005, Pat Riley returned as coach, and one season later brought Miami its first ever NBA championship.

Surrounded by an incredible media frenzy and spectacle showcased on Twitter and an hour-long ESPN special, the most-watched player in the NBA, LeBron James, announced on July 8, 2010 he would play for the Miami Heat. With coach Pat Riley, all-star Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh, the Heat look like a dynasty in the making.

I just came across a site that charges people for this information so on this post I’m just going to talk about how you can start your own incentive site (freebie site) and what you need to get started for FREE!

What you need?

1. Domain

2. Incentive Script & Hosting

3. Affiliates

4. Money

Those 4 things mentioned above are the most important things you need to get started. So now I’m going to go through all 4 of them so you can get a better understanding.

1. Domain- Whats a website with out a domain? Pretty much self explanatory, you need a name for your site, something that will catch the users attention. Good names for incentive sites should have the words free, freebies, money, rewards, etc.. For example: KoolFreebies KellyRewards or RewardMouse. A good place to get your domain name with out any hassle is NameCheap, the domain will only cost you $9.69 for a whole year.

2. Incentive Script & Hosting- I’m going to start off with the script and move on with the hosting, you will need a script where you will be able to add offers, keep track of users, earnings, prizes and questions your users may have. You can always get a custom script and pay thousands for it or go with the script that most site owners use which is the FSRevolution script for a reasonable price or make monthly payments if you can’t pay it in full. This script offers an admin side where you can manage users, manage affiliates, statistics, manage the site, crosscheck system, mass email, manage offers and orders and much more from 1 place. Hosting- You will need hosting so your site can be live on the internet, so you can always get your own hosting company but the script company recently started offering hosting with their script, they have different packages to fit you budget so depending on the package you choose the prices will vary from $6.95 up to $29.95 a month.

3. Affiliates- You will need to find affiliates that offer incentive offers so you can add offers to the site so your users can complete, I know there’s a bunch of them out there but I’m just going to talk about the ones I have experienced with.

a. PointClickTrack- this is the affiliate that I used the most because my affiliate manager was always online and every time I had a question or needed help she walked me through everything, so customer service is great, to add their offers to your site is real easy no hassle at all, and they offer great rates on their offers and they have over 500+ campaigns to choose from.They pay on Net-25, meaning that if in the month of June from the 1st to the 30th you made $300 your commission will be paid on July 25th. Overall in my personal experience I found pointclicktrack to be the best for me. You can check them out by clicking on the banner below.

b. Adscend Media- Adscend Media was my 2nd choice because they don’t have as many campaigns like pointclicktrack does but they have some campaigns that PCt didn’t have so those were the campaigns I used to add more offers to my site. Adscend Media also has great rates on their campaigns, good customer service and they also offer content gateway and file gateway so they give you more options on monetizing your site. Adding offers from adscend media is not as easy but is pretty much copy and paste. This company pays your commissions on Net-30 basis, overall is a good company, I never had any problems with them. 4. Money- You’re going to need moolah, money, dinero to cover the orders your users submit in your site. What I mean is that you will need upfront money to cover any orders that come in, because you have to remember that you will get paid on Net-25 or Net-30 basis so for that first month in business you’re not going to receive payments from your affiliates till the next following month.

This post is mostly for new traders getting into the freebie trading world, last month I read a post on one of the forums where this new trader pretty much got caught up on what i call the freebie trading hype and to summarize instead of making money as a freebie trader they lost money. And because of this I decided to let new traders in on a couple things they should look out for so they don’t become a victim of the HYPE!!

1. Title of threads on the forums- When you first go into any forum the first thing you will see is a bunch of threads from different traders showing you what they offer if you decide to trade with them. (Picture shown below is just for an example so you can see what I’m talking about, traders name except mines where erased for their privacy)

HYPE New Traders Fall For:

a) Threads that promise you that you will make thousands a month- As a new trader, just starting out, honestly, is not going to happen in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd month. You can make money freebie trading but starting off you should set your goals a lil’ bit lower until until you get comfortable and learn everything about freebie trading.

b) Threads that promise you hundreds your first day- If you’re good enough and get a hold of everything on your 1st day, Yes! you might be able to earn $100+ in your first day, but as a new trader you should also know that you may not catch on as quick, and you may run into difficulties like for example, offers not crediting(mostly because you didn’t clear your cookies), site asking you for your ID, so they can verify that the information you provided is legit, this are bumps in the road that happen and are part of the whole freebie trading business. And because of this things that can come up you may not earn $100+ in your first day.

2. Trade Rating or TR- TR is just feedback received from trades completed. Using my TR for the example, I have 80 Positive trades on this forum, No Neutrals or Negative trades. High TR is good don’t get me wrong but new traders are not researching the TR, you look at the 80Tr and assume he/she must be a good trader. Wrong!!

a) Research the TR- actually go through the comments and look if they have any neutral or negative comments, because the number you are looking at, it only shows you the positive feedback not the neutrals or negative ones. Once you go through the feedback then base your decision if you will trade with that trader or not. Always do your RESEARCH!

3. PPD Mentor or Project Pay Day mentor- First of all I’m a “PPD Mentor” but you won’t see it on my threads and I don’t promote myself as a PPD mentor. I’m including it as one of the HYPES new traders fall into because is just an overused title on the freebie trading industry. What is a PPD mentor? All a PPD mentor is a person like you or myself that used project pay day to learn about freebie trading, earned 10-15 tr trading and got the title of a PPD Mentor, and they use the title so new traders think they know everything about freebie trading. I’m not saying all PPD mentors are bad, there are good ones that actually know what they’re teaching you but there are others that might not know as much and just got the title to get a few trades here and there. Again, ALWAYS do your RESEARCH!

4. 100% Pay Outs!- This is when I trader offers you 100% of the payout he/she will get so you go green for them. For example, I will pay you $40 if you go green on KoolFreebies.com and it looks like I’m giving you all the money and I’m not making any profits, right? Wrong! But this is actually good for new traders, because you’re getting paid 100% after all, but you should know why you getting 100% payments.

a) Referral Races- The trader might be on a referral race and for him/her to get enough referrals to win the race and prizes they pay you 100%.

b) Bonuses- Freebie sites have promotions where they give out 10%, 15%, or 20% bonuses for each referral that the trader refers to that specific site.

100% payouts are great for new traders, but don’t feel bad for the trader because they are still making a profit.

5. Forum Tags- Tags are the little things you will see under a traders name.(For example, using my tags on the 1st picture) The 1st pink tag means that I’m a site rep, 2nd one is just a premium member tag because I pay every 6 months to be a premium member.

On the 2nd picture (below) I have 4 tags on that forum. 1st tag is just a custom made tag I made for myself and it was added to my profile, 2nd one is because I own a freebie site, 3rd is a World Class trader tag, this tag is given to traders that have so much TR on that or other forums, 4th tag is a moderator tag because I’m a mod at that forum.

The HYPE? Some of this tags you will see in the forums don’t really mean anything, you may see a trader with only 1 tag and another trader with 5-6 tags and just because a trader has more tags than the other one doesn’t mean they’re any better than the 1 tag trader. What I’m trying to say is that you should never make your decision on who you’re going to trade with base on how many pretty tags they have.

New Traders should be looking for:

1) High Payouts- Never settle for less, you are the trader and they need you for the trades, so why shouldn’t you get paid the most you can get?

2) Trade Rating- Once you find the payout you want, research the TR and decide if this is a trader that you want to trade with.( Not all traders with High TR will pay you the most, so do your research)

3) Support- Find a trader that will answer any of your questions, not just a trader that will pressure you to go green on their sites, you want to learn and get paid as you go.

4) Have Fun- You have to have fun with it, don’t take it so seriously! If you do it will only stress you out.

So there you have it 5 HYPES New traders, noobs, rookies should not fall for, falling into hypes may result in you not been successful as a freebie trader. Freebie Trading takes time and patience and if you always do your research you will avoid falling and trading with the wrong person that is looking out for themselves and not you as a new trader. This is one of the top questions asked by new traders in the freebie trading industry. On this post today I’m going to show you different ways that I use to get FREE referrals, all I’m going to try to show you and explain below you have to do the work. If you just look at it, read it and don’t put the effort to make it happen it will never work, and you don’t have to do everything at once you can pick what you think will work best for you and just go from there. Ok, so enough talking lets get to it.

1. Family or Friends-

Honestly the easiest way to get free referrals is going through someone you already know and feel comfortable explaining how the site works so they know that is a legitimate site. Send out the referral link to all your friends or family members on your email contacts list, don’t just send the referral link, provide some information about the site and explain how everything works.

2. Flyers

Another easy method, as long you have a printer this actually works. Make some flyers about the site with your referral link in it, post this flyers in restrooms, mail boxes (if you live in apartment complex), laundry mat, anywhere were it will catch someones attention. Gotta be creative, the more people that have your referral link the better chances to get some free referrals. (I have a template for the one I used if anyone wants it, just contact me and I will send it to you.)

3. MSN, AIM, YIM

Messengers another easy way to let your friends know about the site you’re working on, let them know how easy it is to get free prizes, or fast cash from this freebie sites, show them how easy is to complete the offers whatever technique you can use to convince them that is legit. Remember NEVER Spam your referral link!!

4. Congas & Rotators

Most of the freebie trading forums offer either a conga line or a rotator. Congas are when you sign up under the first person’s referral link on the conga line, once you complete your offer you are placed under that person, once that person gets his free referrals you move up and get your referrals. Rotators are different, rotators once you sign up under the first person on line, you don’t have to wait for that person to get all his referrals, everyone that joins a rotator has a fair chance on getting free referrals with out having to wait for the first person to get their referrals. 5. Traffic Exchanges

There is a bunch of traffic exchanges out there, I only use EasyHits4u because they have a 1:1 surfing ratio on 20 second timer, this means that with every site you surf someone else will see your site, so you spend an hour doing this and easily get 400-500 or more  views to your referral link, plus you earn money and bonuses just for surfing. Remember the more you view the more credits you earn to get views in your referral link.

6. Video Marketing

If you can create a video and upload it you can get referrals easy. The trick here is that in the description always, always add your referral link first and then after that you can write whatever you like, but referral link always first because it would be the first thing people will see. Again there’s a bunch of them but I personally only use:

YouTube

MetaCafe

DailyMotion

Viddler

7. Social Networks

Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Hi5, Xanga, Bebo, and all the other social networks out there are simple ways to get free referrals. On MySpace you can post bulletins about the site you are working on, join groups about freebies, send messages or comments to your friends with information about the site. Twitter, tweet away your referral link with something like: “I just got a free ipod from “here goes your referral link”, Facebook, just like MySpace you can post your link on the wall and all your friends will see it. Sometime you dont even have to post your referral link, you can post something like “Checkout the free Ipod I just received” and you will see friends asking how you got it and there is when you send them to your referral link. Be Creative, but don’t spam your link.

8. Classifieds (Craigslist.com)

Another easy tactic that some just don’t know how to actually take advantage of this. On Craigslist.com you can post a classified in the (Services Offered) section, you need to put your keywords in your title and post, like always include some information or a picture that when someone clicks on it it takes them to the site you are looking referrals for. Why does the keywords matter? Search engines index craigslist ads and by having the right keywords you have a good chance on landing on the first couple pages of the search and getting views to your ad and referral link.

9. Squidoo

Squidoo lenses are easy to create and work with, you can create an article and in the article have your referral link. Keywords is the trick here, use multiple keywords to drive traffic to your lens. (This is if you don’t have your own blog or website)

10. Forums

Mostly any forum outside of the freebie trading ones, this forums can be video game forums, work at home forums, web design forums, any forum you’re interested on. When you join a forum on most of them you are allowed to post a link in your signature, your signature will display on every message you post on the forum. For this to work you have to be active in the forum, do not go there to spam and post your referral link everywhere , because if you do most likely you will get banned. Find a forum that you’re interested on.

All of this methods are FREE, you don’t have to spend a dime, all you have to spend is some time and put some effort to it. Never SPAM and try to be creative and think outside the box.
